Airtel offers 5GB extra to broadband users

India’s leading and major telecom operator Airtel has announced that it will be offering 5GB of data additionally every month to customers only using their other services such as mobile, DTH connections.

Airtel has introduced this new offer as part of its ‘myHome Rewards’ programme.

Speaking about the same, Hemanth Kumar Guruswamy, CEO, Homes, Bharti Airtel (India) said, “At Airtel, it is our constant endeavour to delight our customers with great products and services. As a further step in this direction, we are very excited to launch myHome Rewards today. This is a gesture from us to thank our broadband customers for giving us an opportunity to serve them. Along with the unlimited free calling benefit on our landline, customers can now make the most of their Airtel broadband with free additional data benefits.”

Airtel users will surely get 5GB of additional data for each Airtel service they are using. For example, if a user has a broadband connection at home, along with two Airtel postpaid mobile connections and one Airtel DTH connection, he/she will be eligible for 15 GB of free additional data per month.

The offer is applicable to both new and existing Airtel subscribers as for new subscribers this could lead to extra usability option. Last week, Airtel also announced two new postpaid plans under its ‘myPlan Infinity’ series. The telecom giant is offering unlimited voice calls along with bundled 3G/4G data at Rs 1,199 and Rs 1,599. Free SMS service is also provided on these plans.
