Open Network Helps Airtel Upgrade 9,000 Sites And Optimise Another 30,000

It seems like Airtel has got a good response on their Open Network initiative from their customers in the country. It was launched in June 2016, and with this initiative Airtel mobile network was made public through an online interface which shows signal strength, coverage, towers all around and also the status of upgrading of towers as well. This provided customers to freely explore Airtel’s network and keep good things going, it also helped Airtel as feedback provided to them helps in improving their services.

Through various mediums like Open Network portal, myAirtel app, Airtel stores and call centers they were provided suggestions and feedbacks on their network and they really worked upon feedbacks as well. People who had network issues raised leads complaining about the same and Airtel installed new network sites as well.

Till now more than 9,000 sites have been upgraded and over 30,000 existing sites has been optimized to resolve network issues. Also putting up new towers is underway.

This brings up complete transparency in the mobile network and opening itself for suggestions and feedbacks. The company also plans to invest Rs, 60,000 crores in building future-ready network.

This initiative will bring out more joy to Airtel and the company also made their customers felt that they are always working as per customer requirements.
