Recently, in the Indian market, Airtel Xstream AirFiber has been launched by Bharti Airtel. In the coming years, Xstream AirFiber should be available in more parts of India as demand from consumers grows for 5G networks.

The cost of Airtel Xstream AirFiber: Airtel Xstream AirFiber is a plug and play device which will be offered to you at your onetime refundable security deposit of INR 2500. Right now, it offers a single plan at a price of 4,425, exclusive of GST, which gives users 100 Mbps of internet speed for six months. It is not known if the speeds of both upload and download are identical for customers.

The first 5G Fixed Wireless Access service in India is provided by Airtel Xstream AirFiber. This is for consumers who have no way of connecting to a fixed broadband connection. It is very difficult to lay fibre in all parts of the country, and therefore Xstream AirFiber could be an important product for a large number of customers who live with gaps in fiber coverage.
