Google starts rolling out Android N update to Android One devices

Google has started rolling out its latest mobile operating system version Android 7.0 Nougat to Android One devices. This comes after the company started rolling out the update for Nexus devices. The Cherry Mobile G1 is reported to be the first Android One smartphone to receive the update. Other Android One devices will get the update in coming weeks.

Presently, the companies including Micromax, Karbonn, Intex and Lava offer Android One devices in India. Last year also Andriod Marshmallow update was released for Android One devices after Nexus devices.

Previously, Sony also confirmed about rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for selected Xperia devices. The Japanese smartphone maker said that the update will be available for Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X , Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance devices.

This update will bring new features like multi-window support, notification enhancements, data savers and more.
