Bharti Airtel announced a special offer under which it will offer free data for 12 months worth to customers who switch to Airtel 4G. The 12-month offer is available to people who are not currently using Airtel 4G. Hence, once they switch to Airtel’s 4G services, they will get this offer. The existing Airtel consumers too can avail this offer if they switch to a new 4G handset. This offer will be available consumers starting January 4, 2017 and will close on February 28, 2017.

The company is offering 3GB per month to prepaid subscribers with every Rs. 345 unlimited calling recharge, which offers free local and STD calls to any network in India as well as 1GB of data per monthly cycle. Airtel says, implies customers get 4GB of total mobile data of month. The 3GB free data offer can be availed through MyAirtel app, and free data benefits on subsequent recharges will be instant.

Commenting on the newly launched offer, Ajai Puri, Director – Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said, “We are inviting customers to experience 4G through the year on India’s fastest network. We are seeing increasing penetration of 4G handsets across the country and believe that this attractive offer will provide an opportunity to more and more customers to enjoy high speed broadband on their devices with Airtel.”

As for postpaid users, Airtel’s 3GB of free data per month offer can be availed if subscribers opt for any MyPlan Infinity plan, which includes local/ STD/ roaming calling benefits, bundled data, some free SMS, as well as free subscription to Wynk Music and Wynk Movies. Postpaid Airtel customers can claim the free mobile data through MyAirtel App.

Airtel specifies that the pack prices may vary from circle to circle, and customers can only avail the 3GB data per month offer only within the first 30 days of purchasing or upgrading to a new 4G handset.

As Jio ramps up its operations ahead of its commercial launch in couple of months, companies like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea are coming out with new and more attractive plans for their consumers. While most of these plans aren’t particularly good, some like Airtel’s Infinity Plans are quite fantastic.
