It’s confirmed! Apple is holding an event on Oct. 27 and has already sent invites and created a dedicated page for its event. The event will be held at the Apple campus in Cupertino at 10.30PM IST (10AM PT, 1PM ET) and will also be streamed live.

After launching new iPhones and Apple Watches last month, the Cupertino, California-based technology company announced its event for next week with the tagline “hello again”. Devices running iOS 7.0 or later, Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X 10.8.5 or later versions, Windows 10 users with Microsoft Edge browser will be able to watch the live keynote event.

It will be a highly awaited event as the company has not launched a new Mac product since 2015. Even though iPhone makes a significant chunk of profit for Apple, but MacBook lineup managed to stay popular despite no new addition.

The new Macbook is expected for a lot new hardware changes, it could be thinner and lighter with all new trackpad. Other details hint that, the new MacBooks will be skipping on the standard USB ports and will go in for the USB Type C ports instead, along with support for the Thunderbolt 3 standard. The USB C ports will be used for charging, so it is indeed time to wave goodbye to the MagSafe connector.

The MacBook Pro lineup is also expected to feature Touch ID and an OLED touch panel that sits over the keyboard. The panel will have new shortcuts to specific apps and customizable function keys.

We would be covering the event live as it happens, so do stay tuned and keep commenting your views.
