Google Allo, the new instant messaging app is by the search giant power. Messaging apps by Google started with G-Talk, G-chat, Hangouts, Google Wave and Buzz. But not only Google apps are evolved as most of us now majorly rely on Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and many of them come with end-to-end encryption like Whatsapp and Telegram. As the list is much longer to mention, and Allo joins the same world but has a USP- Google Assistant.

It does all the things that you normally need from a messaging app- send pictures, share stickers, or a group chat. Google Allo needed a feature to succeed that is unique and separates it from other messaging apps to stand out from the crowd so people can switch to it. Google Assistant relies on machine learning the more you interact with it, the better it will get over time. A virtual assistant that lets you ask anything and shows up results based on the query, can be typed or use voice assistant for a query.

Signing in to Allo is simpler and all you need is your phone number and if you would like to use Google Assistant feature you can sign in via Google account.  Allo is available for both iOS and Android smartphones.

Google Allo needs much improvement at this point and to work for best. Google Assistant to be more improved and the app should be available on other platforms too. As Duo has already crossed 10 million downloads, according to Google. Allo will be now a competitor of Whatsapp and Facebook messenger. Now, Allo needs to convince that it’s an app that you don’t wish to remove from your list.

Share your experiences with Allo, if you tried that and of other similar messaging apps in comments.
