OnePlus 3T launched in India: Price, specifications and more

OnePlus has finally revealed its much-talked OnePlus 3T smartphone in India. The upgraded version has been priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 64GB internal storage variant and Rs. 34,999 for the 128GB internal storage variant. The phone will be exclusively up for sale via Amazon from December 14 (only the 128GB variant); the 64GB variant will go on sale later. The OnePlus 3T will be available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold colour options.

The OnePlus 3T was unveiled globally last month and has since gone on sale in the US, Europe, and the UK. The new OnePlus 3T smartphone features minor upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus 3, which was launched in June this year. The company says it will begin manufacturing the OnePlus 3T in India from next month, starting with the 64GB variant.

OnePlus 3T comes with a newer processor, improved front camera and larger battery compared to the earlier flagship. In terms of weight, dimensions, the OnePlus 3T is exactly the same as the earlier smartphone. OnePlus 3T features a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 401 ppi pixel density. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and runs the latest 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35Ghz.

Commenting on the launch, Vikas Agarwal, OnePlus’s General Manager for India said,“We are delighted to bring the much anticipated OnePlus 3T to India. Over the last two weeks, our fans in India have been writing to us to bring the phone to India, and we are glad we have been able to meet their demands. To delight our buyers even further, we will be shortly announcing a slew of offers to compliment the overall usage experience.”

It comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory options with UFS 2.0. The rear camera on OnePlus 3T is 16MP with the Sony IMX 298 Sensor. It also has a Sapphire crystal lens cover. The front camera is also 16MP in the OnePlus 3T smartphone, up from 8MP front camera on the earlier version.

OnePlus 3T has a 3400 mAh battery compared to the 3000 mAh battery on the earlier phone. The phone comes with the company’s proprietary Dash Charge support, which promises a day’s worth of battery life in just 30 minutes of charge. OnePlus 3T has USB 2.0 Type-C charging port, Dual-nano SIM slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It runs Android Marshmallow for now but Android Nougat support is coming soon.
