Jio and Airtel offers one year free service on Apple iPhones

Apple launched iPhone 7, 7 plus today and major telecom operators are offering free benefits for Apple’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as India is emerging market for Apple amid slowing growth in the worldwide economy. Jio says people who purchase any iPhone from Reliance or Apple store will be offered one year of complimentary Jio service worth Rs 18,000, including free local, STD and roaming voice calls, 20 GB of cellular data, 40 GB WiFi and unlimited night data, SMS and access to Jio applications.

These users will also get the Jio welcome offer completely free till December 31, 2016. “…anyone who purchases an iPhone today, gets 15 months of service absolutely free of cost, an offer that is unprecedented in India,” Jio said in a statement, adding that these benefits will otherwise be available through Rs 1,499 plan for other customers.

Jio’s offer is not restricted only to iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, but will be valid on iPhone 6, 6+, 6s, 6s+, SE, 7, 7+. Enterprise customers will also get a 25% discount on Apple iPhones along with attractive tariff plans.

Airtel offers 10 GB free 4G/3G data per month for one year to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users with any Airtel Infinity postpaid plan. The plan offers unlimited voice calling – local, STD and national roaming – along with bundled 4G/3G data, SMS and free subscription to Wynk music and Wynk movies.
