Reliance Jio which has already announced the commercial launch from 5th Sept. is expected to launch broadband internet services in 900 cities and towns through optical fibre with unlimited data benefits.

“In addition to 4G wireless services, RJIL (Reliance Jio Infocomm) is rolling out high-speed internet services via FTTx in over 900 cities/towns. The high-speed fibre connectivity will enable RJIL to provide a wide gamut of digital services across various sectors,” RJio said in a report.

According to our sources, the company has already started their services in some residential apartments only in select cities. As per Jio welcome offer speed is expected to be 1 Gbps and some people are already enjoying Gigafibre and getting speeds above 90 Mbps.

Earlier while announcing the project, Mukesh Ambani the chairman of the Reliance Industries said –“This is on par with any of the top wireline offerings across the world. We plan to expand this to top 100 cities in the country very soon”.

Jio also has plans to capture enterprise data market with multi-gigabit speed through their country wide fibre network. “At the same time, Jio will be expanding its offerings to the enterprise locations. We intend to provide multi-gigabit per second wireline data connections which are on par with the services available in the developed countries,” he added further.

We think Jio’s Gigafibre will surely be able to take on other service providers with this amazing speed and various businesses and home users will opt for it.
