Huawei has finally launched Honor 6X smartphone in India at an event held in New Delhi. The smartphone will be sold exclusively on Amazon from February 2 in Gold, Silver and Grey colour options. Along with this the SBI card holders can also get 10% cashback on the purchase of the handset.

Honor 6X comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 403ppi pixel density. It is powered by the company’s own Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor coupled with a Mali-T830MP2 GPU. Honor 6X comes in two variants 3GB RAM /32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage.

“Honor 6X has been designed for consumers who would not compromise on performance, Honor 6X is a device engineered with uncompromising excellence,” said Peter Zhai, President, Huawei India Consumer Business Group.

The 4G LTE capable smartphone will be made in India and supports 14 regional languages. Honor 6X will be available in India at Rs 12,999 for the 3GB variant and Rs 15,999 for the 4GB variant. The 3GB variant will be sold as an Amazon exclusive. The phone will be available in three colours – Gold, Silver and Grey.  Honor 6X (3GB RAM version) registrations open today at 11.59 pm till January 31, and flash sale will take place on February 2, 2017 at 2 pm.

The phone has dual 12MP + 2MP rear camera that comes with phase detection auto-focus and LED flash. The front sports an 8MP selfie shooter. The Honor 6X comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, placed just below the camera. The smartphone is backed by a 3,340mAh battery with fast-charging support. It runs EMUI 4.1 skin based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will get update to Android 7.0 Nougat operating system soon.

The Honor 6X comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 16nm HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core ( 4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) chipset clubbed with Mali T830-MP2. Sadly, the phone runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1 on top, but Huawei did promise to upgrade it to Nougat by Q2 2017. The phone comes in two variants – 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage (internal storage on both the variants is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card).

Honor 6X connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS/ A-GPS. The new smartphone is powered by a 3340mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 600 hours of standby time. Honor 6X battery features fast charging support that charges the whole battery in 2.5 hours. It measures 150.9×72.6×8.2mm and weighs 162 grams. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a magnetometer.
